The JBC & JB Hillside Protection Project is an essential initiative designed to ensure the stability and safety of the hillside areas in Jalalabad, Sylhet. As part of this project, a comprehensive geotechnical investigation was undertaken to assess the subsurface conditions and evaluate the potential risks posed by landslides and erosion.
Commissioned by SMEC International Pty Ltd., our team, in collaboration with the Sthapati Association, conducted a detailed investigation of the hillside terrain. This included borehole drilling, soil sampling, and laboratory testing to determine soil composition, stability, and drainage capacity. The investigation provided vital data to inform the design and construction of slope protection measures, ensuring long-term hillside stability and safeguarding nearby infrastructure and communities.
Through this geotechnical study, our team helped identify potential risk areas and proposed solutions to mitigate those risks, contributing to the project’s goal of protecting the environment and enhancing safety.
